SPRING 2022 TRENDS

There are many trends this spring. Here are a few that I love.
TRENDS I LOVE:
Tube Tops. Tube tops are back this spring. They were popular a few summers ago, but this spring they'll be slightly different, as with every circular trend. They used to be cropped and tight, but I've been seeing looser and knit tube tops recently. I love the looser knit tubes because they look so effortless and more expensive than the previous tight ones. To participate in this trend, I used this beautiful Kelly green shirt I thrifted last summer and thrift-flipped it into a beautiful loose tube top.
Metallic Pants. I've seen metallic pants in a beautiful red and light mint green color from Rezek Studio all over my Pinterest this winter. I love how they look with their matching corset tube tops, but I also think they would look amazing with an oversized tee and colorful sneakers for a more casual look. I also love this faux leather tube top and flare pant set from Skims. It gives the same look as the Rezek sets, but at a more affordable price point. Unfortunately, I will not be able to participate in this trend unless I find some metallic pants or fabric at the thrift store. The Rezek Studio "Hustle" pants retail for $285 and the "Star" corset top retails for $265. The Skims faux leather tube top retails for $58 and the matching flare pants retail for $98.

Plisse Pants/Sets. I've loved these Plisse sets since the fall when I first saw girls buying them on TikTok. Since then, they've been all over my Pinterest feed in all kinds of colors. I love the idea of wearing them as a set or wearing the pants separate with an oversized tee and sneakers like the metallic pants. To participate in this trend, I bought a brown Plisse set from NastyGal this fall and have been so excited for it to get warmer so I can wear it. These sets are great for spring because the Plisse fabric is lightweight and flowy. Perfect for the spring!
Vintage Running Sneakers. I loved the chunky dad sneakers we all wore last summer, but I'm excited for this new sneaker trend. Vintage running shoes offer a much cleaner look and they go with everything. The New Balance 990s seem to be the running sneaker of choice for the Scandinavian girls inspiring this trend. I like them, but I prefer a vintage Nike running sneaker. The 990s retail for $184.99 on New Balance's website, which is a steep price for me. So, instead, I found a pair of vintage Nike sneakers on ThreadUp for $45.
Knit Pants and Shorts. I loved this trend so much last summer that I bought a pair of knit shorts from Zara and Anthropologie. Outfits with shorts have always been so boring to me, so I love how knit shorts can make the outfit a lot more interesting. I love the look of knit pants for the same reason. Knit pants have been plaguing my Pinterest feed, but I have yet to find a good pair anywhere. I'm keeping my open every time I'm at the thrift, but until I find a pair, I'll be participating with my knit shorts from last summer.
Solomon Sneakers/ Gorpcore. In addition to vintage running sneakers, I have also seen a ton of hiking sneakers on my Pinterest feed. Most of them I've seen are from a brand called Solomon. I like these sneakers, but I don't think they fit in with my personal style. However, maybe they're your cup of tea. They retail for $130-$200 depending on the style you choose.
90s Style Slip and Tank-Top Dresses. The Skims "Soft Lounge Long Slip Dress" has been living in my head recently. I love how simple and elegant it looks and it looks good on everyone I've seen wear it. I would love to thrift a similar style dress, but I eventually want the real deal as well. It retails on Skims for $78.
These are just a few of the Spring 2022 Trends I've seen and liked. I'm sure they'll be more as it gets warmer and closer to spring, but these are my favorites so far! I hope this inspired you to try out some thing new and thanks for reading!
